Bushnell Outdoor Products is the leader in sports optics and have been providing products for 50 years. Currently Bushnell has 11 brands and nearly 15 product lines including Browning Sport Opitcs, Tasco, Serengeti, Bolle, Uncle Mike, Hoppe's, Stoney Point, Butler Creek, Blackwater Gear, and Uncle Mike's Law Enforcement. Bushnell Outdoor Products are available internationally with corporate offices in the United States, Canada, France, Australia, and Hong Kong. Bushnell Outdoor Products are distributed in over 27 countries. The Bushnell Outdoor Products headquarters is in Overland Park, Kansas.
The Bushnell company offers three different lines of telescopes for purchase. The NorthStar, the Voyager Sky Tour and the Harbormaster. The Harbormaster is the classic style telescope with a nautical feel. The Sky Tour line offers four telescopes, each of which has real-time audio that gives information about the constellations and astronomy tidbits. The NorthStar products are the most advance of Bushnell telescopes. They offer computer driven location and tracking capabilities. They also feature a remote and an illuminated LCD readout. Bushnell telescopes are equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
All Bushnell telescopes offer a limited, lifetime warranty other than the NorthStar which has a two year warranty. Bushnell telescopes can be found at popular retail stores, and their online counterparts, but seems not to be available in the same stores which carry other brands of telescopes. Perhaps this is due to Bushnell's focus on sports optics or because they are more technical and new age. Bushnell products can also be found in outdoor sporting and hobby stores.
Concerning repair of Bushnell telescopes, one is to return the product to Bushnell via mail and a Bushnell technician will asses whether repairs are needed. If the repairs do not fall under the warranty, then a cost estimate is mailed to the customer. If the customer agrees to the price of repair, they will have to respond to the letter sent by Bushness (or if they disagree) and then the replacement item (repaired or new) will be sent within 3 or 4 weeks.

I have a Bushnell NorthStar 4.5" newt. It is junk and not worth buying or repairing. It looks VERY nice but not worth what people pay for them. Poor mount, computer control and even poorer optics. They can't even handle good eyepieces.AVOID IT PLEASE.

I just bought a used bushnell telescope, Model 78/4678, 900mm Focal Lenght, 4.5 Objective Lens (f7.87). Its 10 years old. It is missing a focal lens. Any one have lenses that would fit? Is it worth fixing? It could use a cleaning also.
